Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-06-08

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of EchoRelay ("the Service"), an HTTP relay platform operated by EchoRelay ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

EchoRelay receives HTTP requests on your behalf, validates them, and forwards them to destinations you configure. We provide the platform "as is" and make commercially reasonable efforts to keep it available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or fitness for a particular purpose.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials secure, and not share them. You are responsible for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are involved in abuse, fraud, illegal activity, or violation of these Terms.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to: send spam or unsolicited bulk messages; relay malicious payloads, malware, or attacks; circumvent rate limits or security controls; infringe intellectual property; transmit material that is illegal in your jurisdiction or ours; or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the platform.

Third parties who believe the Service is being used in violation of this section may report it to [email protected] — see our abuse-report page for guidance on what to include.

4. Billing

Prepaid credit packs and subscriptions are billed through Paddle.com Market Ltd, our merchant of record. Credits are non-transferable and are consumed by API usage as described on the pricing page. Subscription fees recur at the interval shown at checkout. Pricing may change with at least 30 days' notice for active subscribers.

Renewals are new fixed-term contracts. Each renewal of a subscription or add-on is a new fixed-term contract for the next period, entered at the price for your plan in effect on the renewal date — not necessarily the price you first subscribed at. This is how prices move forward over time. We will never apply a price increase to a renewal as a surprise: if the price for your plan has increased since your last renewal, we email you in advance of the renewal — stating the new price and the date it takes effect — so you can review, manage, or cancel before any charge at the new price. The change applies only to a future renewal; the rest of your current period is unaffected and there is no immediate charge.

Add-ons end with your subscription — gracefully. Add-ons renew only while you hold an active subscription. When your subscription ends (by cancellation or otherwise), add-ons stop renewing on their own: each add-on period you have already paid for remains fully active until its own end date, and no further add-on charges are made after that. You can also cancel any individual add-on earlier at any time, with the same run-to-period-end behaviour.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

Welcome offer. The welcome offer is available once per customer. It exists in two forms — bonus credits on a first credit-pack purchase, and a discount on the first month of a new subscription — which are mutually exclusive: claiming either consumes your single welcome-offer eligibility and the other can no longer be claimed. We may decline or reverse a welcome benefit that is obtained, or attempted, more than once per customer — including across multiple accounts or payment methods.

5. Your data

You retain ownership of the data you send through the Service. We process it solely to operate the relay and as described in our Privacy Policy. Request bodies are not persisted beyond what is required for delivery, retry, and dead-letter handling.

6. Service availability and limits

Availability targets, rate limits, and request size caps are documented in your plan. Exceeding limits may result in throttling, billing of overage credits, or temporary suspension. Planned maintenance is announced via the status page when feasible.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill.

8. Account closure

You may close your account at any time from your account settings. Closing your account erases your personal data immediately; we retain only what the law requires (see our Privacy Policy). When you close your account we refund the unused value you are carrying — the unspent portion of your prepaid credit packs and of your current subscription allowance, plus the unused remainder of any add-on cycle — to your original payment method. The refund is calculated from what you actually paid for what remains unused; consumed usage and any bonus credits are not refundable. See the Refund Policy for how the amount is determined.

We may close or suspend access to your account at our discretion for breach of these Terms or for conduct we reasonably consider abusive, fraudulent, or harmful. Where we close or suspend your account under this provision, we will give you reasonable notice where doing so would not compromise security or our legal obligations.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email and on the website at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which EchoRelay is registered. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

11. Refunds

EchoRelay sells digital services consumed on demand. Usage you have already consumed is non-refundable — credits are usable the moment they land on your account. Unused value, however, is always refundable on closure: when you close your account we refund the unspent portion of your prepaid credit packs and of your current subscription allowance, plus the unused remainder of any add-on cycle, to your original payment method. The amount is what you actually paid for what remains unused, pro-rated by the unspent fraction; consumed usage and bonus credits carry no refundable value.

Statutory right of withdrawal (EU / UK consumers). If you are a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of purchase. By completing checkout for a digital service supplied immediately (credits or an activated subscription) you acknowledge that performance begins at once and that you lose the right of withdrawal in respect of usage already consumed. This statutory right is a subset of the always-refund-on-closure policy above, which returns your unused value at any time, not only within 14 days.

Refund requests while your account stays open. Within 30 days of a paid top-up charge you may request a refund of the unused paid credits from that charge. The amount is capped at the value of the credits still unused on your account; consumed usage, expired credits, and bonus credits are not refundable. Cancelling a subscription or add-on is different: cancellation stops the next renewal, keeps the paid service active until the end of the current period, and does not by itself create a refund.

Outside the statutory window we may, at our sole discretion, issue a refund in the following circumstances:

  • A duplicate charge caused by a payment-processor error.
  • A documented service outage affecting more than 72 consecutive hours within a billing period, where you were unable to use the credits as a direct result.
  • An incorrect charge resulting from a billing bug attributable to us.

These discretionary refunds apply while you keep your account open. Outside them we do not, on a standalone request, refund credits that have already lapsed at the end of their 12-month validity or usage already consumed — but in any of these cases you may close your account and we will refund the unused value you are still carrying, as described above.

How to request a refund. If you can sign in, use the refund request button in Billing > Invoices within 30 days of the charge; that keeps the request linked to the invoice and review queue. If you cannot access the account, email [email protected] from the address on the account with the invoice ID, a description of the reason, and any relevant evidence (duplicate-charge screenshot, outage timestamps). We aim to respond within 10 business days. Approved refunds are processed through Paddle to the original payment method and may take 5–10 banking days to appear.

Chargebacks. Please contact us first. Filing a chargeback before allowing us to resolve the issue may result in account suspension and the chargeback fee being passed on.
